Just above the Northern Irish border and not far from (London)Derry is Letterkenny. Its remote location is probably the main reason why there’s only one casino in the town. It might be the most populous in County Donegal but the demand for casinos just isn’t as high as it is in places like Dublin or Cork.

Just because there’s only one casino in the town doesn’t mean it’s not a good one, though. It is Majestic in both name and nature, with luxurious surroundings open to you from 8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It doesn’t shut until 8am, either, so there’s plenty of time to have a wee flutter on all the exciting games you’ll find there.
There is very little you can’t do at the Majestic that you wouldn’t expect to find at a casino. Whether it be European roulette, Blackjack or Punto Banco table games or play on one of the 120+ slot machines, you won’t be bored if you head here. There’s also a poker room with eight tables to play cash games and tournaments on, should you be a lover of Texas Hold’Em.
Letterkenny’s location on the upper edge of Ireland means that it isn’t all that close to any other casinos. There’s only tea and coffee on offer in the casino but Letterkenny Shopping Centre is just minutes away on foot. That means you can pop out of the casino to get yourself fed and watered if you need to before heading back inside to carry on with your betting.
