Casino Games

SLOTS

Slots are a specialty at Amusement City, taking up most of the gaming floor and promising fun and excitement. All of the newest slot games are available and there are hundreds of options from which to choose. Multi-line machines, interactive slots and even more traditional ‘reel’ machines are available in one of Ireland’s best locations for slot machines.

BLACKJACK

At the time of writing, there’s no way to play Blackjack at Amusement City. That’s not to say that they won’t introduce video Blackjack at some point, but it is an exclusively machine-based location at present so there won’t be a table version of Blackjack any time soon.

ROULETTE

There are a number of touch bet roulette tables available for your entertainment at Amusement City. You might be more used to playing on a proper roulette table but you shouldn’t let that stop you from getting involved, with the staff here very friendly and more than happy to show you how the electronic version of the game works. Essentially, it’s the same as normal roulette but the table’s in the middle of a load of seats and everything’s done for you automatically on the computer. Apart from picking what to bet on, of course!

OTHER GAMES

The sheer volume of electronic games and slot machines are the real draw here, so there aren’t many other things to draw your attention. Don’t worry, though, there’s plenty to keep you amused – they don’t call it Amusement City for nothing!

Poker

Much like with the roulette, the poker available here is of the video variety. However, unless you’re determined to look your opponent in the eye and see if you can identify their tell, don’t let that put you off. Video poker is one of the most popular games in Vegas because of its simplicity, yet addictively good fun.

Bars & Restaurants

There isn’t a bar available but there is a café type area that looks suspiciously like a bar. You can get free refreshments and food here, with an array of teas and coffees to choose from, as well as hot snacks. There are plenty of champagne bottles adorning the walls, too, so a not-so-soft drinks might be available if you ask nicely.

Membership

Joining Amusement City as a member is necessary if you want to enter the casino but simple enough to do. All that’s needed is for you to complete an application form at reception when you attend the club for the first time. As long as you’ve got valid proof of identity then you’ll be fine and sitting behind an exciting slot machine in no time.

Player Rewards

At present, there are no player rewards schemes in place at Amusement City, but that can change at the drop of a hat. If this is something that you really want then it’s always worth asking at reception.

Getting There

Amusement City can be found on Westmoreland Street, not far from the hustle and bustle of O’Connell Street in the centre of Dublin. As you’d expect from a city with such a huge amount of landmarks, there are a number of sights to keep an eye out for if you’re trying to find your way to the casino. The most obvious one is Irish Houses of Parliament, which is just around the corner. The National Wax Museum is also close by with the world-famous Temple Bar just moments away.

If you’re keen to know how to get to the casino on public transport then you’ll be pleased to know your options are plentiful. Tara Street Train Station is less than five-minutes away and serves both DART trains and commuter trains from further afield. Bus-wise the Westmoreland Street / Dublin stop is pretty much right outside the casino.
