Casino Games

SLOTS

Slots are by no means the specialty of Diamonds, with table games taking centre-stage. That’s not to say that they’re unimportant, however. There are a couple of machines dotted around the place offering some of the latest games, including ones that are linked together for an accumulator offer.

BLACKJACK

Arguably the best known casino card game in the world, Blackjack has a huge following of people who love to try and find ways to beat the dealer and you can join them at Diamonds Casino. The dealers are internationally trained and will be happy to give you any advice or answer any questions that you may have regarding how it all works.

ROULETTE

If you’re a gambler then there’s almost nothing quite as fun as putting your fate into the hands of lady luck and seeing who she plans on going home with. That is evident clearer in roulette than any other game in the casino. There are a couple of European roulette tables on offer in Monaghan’s finest private members club.

OTHER GAMES

Roulette and Blackjack are the number one games in most casinos, but they’re not the only ones. There’s also a rather well-known game that is growing in popularity with each passing year…

Poker

Diamond Casino offers a number of excellent poker nights that will tickle the fancy of any card-shark hanging around Monaghan. There are cash tables running on a regular basis, as well as a tournament on a Friday night with a guaranteed €500 jackpot. On the first Sunday of every month they up the ante even further and have a tournament with a guaranteed cash prize of €1000.

Bars & Restaurants

There isn’t a bar or restaurant to speak of at Diamond Casino, though there is a sort of bar area in one corner. Complimentary food and drink is also available to everyone who is indulging in a casino game or two.

Membership

You don’t need to pay a penny to become a member of Diamond Casino in Monaghan. All you need to do is turn up, fill in a membership form, and provide a suitable photographic ID to prove who you are. For those of you that enjoy saving a bit of time you can fill in the application form online if you know in advance that you’ll be heading to the club.

Player Rewards

At the time of writing, the club doesn’t operate a player rewards scheme. Obviously that can change at any time, however, so if its something that means a lot to you personally then it’s always worth asking at the reception when you go in.

Getting There

Diamonds Casino is to be found on Dublin Street, which is in the heart of Monaghan Town Centre. It’s a little bit tricky to find if you haven’t got your eyes peeled, so keep a look out for door number 2. The MACE supermarket is just around the corner, should you want a decent landmark.

When it comes to public transport then your options are slightly limited. There aren’t any bus stops directly outside the casino, with Monaghan’s main Bus Station situated about a ten-minute walk away. Equally, the train won’t be your best bet, as there’s no station in the town itself and your nearest alternatives are Dundalk and Portadown.
